You know you can't wait to see these guys tear it up:

It's Time: New Works by Hal Samples Hal Samples Gallery Grand Opening, 6-10pm
Featuring Music by MOM
2814 Main St. #101

Yea! Hal's gallery is finally opening! It's going to be in the space under Space. (Hee, hee.) MOM's playing too! AND they're going to have a live stream going all weekend on The Fine Line. Why all weekend? Well, you'll just have to keep reading (or looking at pictures).

Studio Fling's New Pad!
2924 Main St. Suite 102, 7pm-11pm

I'm so happy for the Flingers and their new, bigger space. The new local is perfect for this blossoming little gallery. If you've never been around this crowd, you are really missing out out on some out sweet folks and great times. Oh, and the art's good too. It will definetaly be a good time to swing by Studio Fling.

Go Deaf In Space.
Space, 6-10pm

2814 Main St. #201

Festival After Party @ Nancy, George, and Bess
The Blue Building, 10pm-1:30am

Featuring Lovie & Heather Knox

Everyone loves Lovie. Photo by Erica Felicella, who was one of the co-curators of Nancy, George, and Bess along with the lovely Sarah Jane Semrad.

The Black Angels In Space!
Space, 7-11pm (maybe later)

2814 Main St. #201

$20 Donation

This is not a joke. The Black Angels are flying from Toronto to play an intimate show at Space here in Deep Ellum and then flying to Paris, France. How effin cool is that? There are only three times they are playing Texas during this tour, and Space is one of them. Come check out Aton and Mike Graff too. This is the highlight of my weekend for sure.

You know what's even awesomer? All this stuff is going down on the same street! Hooray!

This weekend will indeed kick your ass and mine as well. I bet Cindy Chaffin, Hal Samples, Erica, Sarah Jane, Gianna and many others will also feeling gleeful pain once it's all said and done. The weather is supposed to be beautiful, unlike last years Deep Ellum Arctic Festival, and that alone should make a huge difference in attendance. All other aspects you plugged have me wondering WTF are those 'Ellum's dead /dangerous' rumor spreading folks thinking?
