The Woes of a C.O.

Certificate of Occupancy that is. It's something Sloppyworld needs, and has had trouble getting from the city (more here). Which is too darn bad because John books some pretty damn good shows.

Last night the city came in yet again (this isn't their first rodeo with code enforcement), and this time turned the music off.

From Sloppyworld:

TONIGHT RIGHT BEFORE THE BANDS WERE ABOUT TO TAKE THE STAGE AT SLOPPYWORLD, 5 COPS AND A GENUINELY NICE LADY FROM THE CODE ENFORCEMENT DEPARTMENT FINALLY SHUT US DOWN. THIS MAY JUST BE A TEMPORARY DEAL OR IT MAY NOT. BUT FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE WE ARE CLOSED FOR BUSINESS. TO THE BANDS THAT WE BOOKED,

I TRULY APOLOGIZE AND WILL TRY TO MAKE IT UP TO YOU AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.
IF ANYONE HAS ANY EXPERIENCE AT ALL WITH PERMITS AND LEGAL STUFF PERTAINING TO GETTING A PROPER C.O. AND BUILDING PERMITS IN A RUSH, PLEASE PASS THE INFORMATION ON TO ME.

WE ARE DOWN BUT PROBABLY NOT OUT. ANY HELP WOULD BE AMAZINGLY HELPFUL. I WANT TO AT LEAST BE ABLE TO HAVE ONE LAST BAD ASS ROCK BLOWOUT BEFORE IT ALL GOES DOWN.

THANKS FOR ALL THE SUPPORT THROUGH THE LAST MONTHS. THE NEGATIVLAND SHOW WILL STILL HAPPEN. MORE DETAILS AS THEY DEVELOP.

THANKS FOR EVERYTHING, DALLAS.
